Honestly what else do you expect for 25 pounds, the room was big enough for 3 people, bathroom was good, room was warm enough, staff was chill, and bed was comfy, lack of charging points is what I have seen in a lot of older hotels and it was the same here but it's not a deal breaker

Really smelly room and damp, so if you keep the window open during the night and it's really loud music outside. Everything is really old, feels like back to 90s, only one socket for the kettle, if you need to charge your phone you will have to switch them around. Positive side: really nice staff, feel welcomed and super helpful, and the bed is quite comfortable.

Disturbed night's sleep due to noise outside below our window on both nights' stay. Good parking and friendly staff. No bath mat or glasses provided in toilet. Had to request a hair drier.

Alright for a night. Really heavy stench of bleach. Accessible bathroom was well done but couldn't reach the curtains from a wheelchair. The room was massive though, so can't really fault it for a cheap night away. Good location. Desk fan didn't work but reception staff seemed to take it on board. Took a while to get the key card to work in the lift, but as annoying as that was it was a nice touch of simple security.

expensive as no fridge , no iron ,and for Whst we paid over £110 a night it is best to pay the little extra elsewhere , rooms were not cleaned on a daily basis, shouting screaming , swearing every night from 11pm to 5pm outside not ideal when you have children that have to hear that and can’t sleep. Rooms and hall way smelt strong weed Positives : staff are polite,. Amazing,,extremely helpful and deserve a raise Ideal location , walking distance to shops etc

Average run of the Mill Travelodge. We stayed here a couple of times previously. Value for money , but not as good as the premier Inn in Dundee Central.

We were worried about noise based on other reviews but we didn't hear a thing outside or inside the hotel for our 4 days there. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. There is tea and coffee in the room with the option to ask for more if needed. There were also towels provided and a fan. Loads of parking around the back of the hotel but look for Brown Street rather than the hotel postcode otherwise you end up in front of the hotel. Parts of Dundee had low emission zones so we have ended up with a fine as we didn't know anything about these until we drove through one and then found out our car didn't qualify. I think it would be really beneficial if the hotel could give people some details about or even just a sign on reception for people to look into it (The fine is of course not the fault of the hotel, we had no idea what a low emission zone was as we do not have them in our area in North Wales)

Travel lodge Dundee central is such a mess and needing urgent refurbishment. Toilet was stinking with bad flushing wuc. Bedsheets weren't changed after previous guest leaving a bad smell on pillows and sheets. This calls for urgent attention.

During my recent visit to Dundee, I had the pleasure of staying at Travelodge Dundee Central. Nestled in the heart of the city, this hotel proved to be an excellent base for exploring Dundee's rich cultural scene and vibrant nightlife. From the moment I checked in, the staff were incredibly welcoming and efficient, ensuring a smooth and pleasant start to my stay. The room, while basic, was impeccably clean and comfortable, offering all the essentials for a good night's sleep. I particularly appreciated the comfortable bed and the quiet atmosphere, which were exactly what I needed after a day of sightseeing. One of the standout features of this hotel is undoubtedly its location. Just a stone's throw away from some of Dundee's most popular attractions, including the V&A Dundee and the scenic River Tay, it was incredibly convenient. The proximity to a variety of dining options and public transportation also made my stay even more enjoyable. While the hotel's amenities are relatively basic, with no on-site restaurant or gym, the value for money is undeniable. For travelers looking for a comfortable, no-frills place to rest while exploring Dundee, Travelodge Dundee Central is a fantastic choice. The most important part for me, it is very close to the mosque. 1 min walk. Dundee Central mosque. In summary, if you're in search of a centrally located, clean, and budget-friendly accommodation in Dundee, Travelodge Dundee Central should definitely be on your radar. My stay was a delightful experience, and I would not hesitate to return.

Be very careful booking this Travelodge! I booked this hotel for the night before my wedding for my bridal party and family (who had travelled more than 14 hours by plane to be there) since the church we were getting married at was just next door. Upon arrival the reception informed us that one of the rooms my sister had booked was cancelled because she shared the same surname as me (at the time) and was already listed as a guest so they presumed it was a mistake. We then had to haggle for the room back. The next morning as I was getting ready for my wedding, 30 minutes before I was to walk down the aisle a horrendously rude man, who I can only guess was the manager, came banging on the doors of our rooms shouting for us to get out as our stay was over. I had booked all three of my rooms with a late check out for 2pm and I pulled up the verification email to confirm this but the man would not even stay to hear this. I then had to send down my maid of honour to explain to reception that we had paid for all three rooms to have a late check out. It was an extra £10 per room and I had the confirmation on every individual room that this was indeed correct and paid for. Despite this clear evidence, they insisted I only paid for a late check out on one room. My maid of honour came back and explained to me the situation and, with 15 minutes to go, I sent her with my bank card to pay for the other two rooms simply to get them off our backs. The manager did not want to allow me to pay for the rooms as it’s “something you have to do prior to the visit.” If he had actually checked my receipts he would have seen that was indeed what had happened. I was then double charged for the rooms and I can say that the morning of my wedding was ruined by this man causing such unnecessary stress to me and my guests. Be wary about booking here, because even with proof of purchase they may not believe you.

Stayed over with my girlfriend wednesday night because all the transport were cancelled cause of the storm, we booked this hotel, and we were unwelcomed by the supervisor Tommy who I thought would have more respect since its customer service, he asked for the name and she give him the name and started being very rude to her first he asked her for her ID and said “did you just turn 18” then she goes “yeah in November” and he shook his head and aggressively asked for my ID and I give him it and he also shook his head and slammed my ID to the point it could’ve broke because that’s how hard he slammed it in the counter, he then angrily said “you shouldn’t be booking hotels at this age” when 18 is the legal age to book a hotel, then he changed his attitude when people came in to check in too he started being all nice, he needs talking to or sacked because the way he’s speaking to younger generation is just horrible, never staying here again! really disappointed
